Known as the party capital of Thailand, there are a million and one ways to stay entertained when the sun goes down in Phuket. Bustling beach bars, crazy pub crawls, and swanky cocktail bars with professional mixologists all burst to life at twilight.

Whether you’re staying in the heart of the action at Patong Beach, or you’re out at Karon or Kata, we’ve got a great selection of the best places to let loose on a night out in Phuket.

1. Seduction Club, Patong

Patong Beach is famous for its out of control nightlife. All along Bangla Road, bass thuds out into the street. Create a night to remember at Seduction Club. World-class DJs often play sets here and the crowds pulse with energy.

Those on a tight budget can take advantage of the THB 500 open bar package and not have to worry about overspending at the bar. Staff are infamously friendly and want you to have the best night of your life.

5.   Rockin’ Angels Blues Café, Phuket Town

This blues bar in the heart of Phuket Town will leave you feeling anything but blue. Exposed brick walls and neon signs make it feel more like Southern USA than Southern Thailand. Music memorabilia covers the walls, a true shrine to live music.

There’s a house band, led by the owner and former professional musician. Live blues music sessions usually starts around 9 p.m. and finish at midnight, so head on down here if you feel like tapping along to some of the best live music in town. Guitars cover the walls around the stage and customers are encouraged to jam with the band, who can play pretty much anything.

6. Jaguar Ice Bar, Patong

Cool off in the heart of Phuket’s biggest party town at the Jaguar Ice Bar in Patong. It can get super hot in Phuket, even in the evening, so what better way to escape the heat than a shot or two at -30 degrees.

The bar itself is made of ice and frozen shot glasses keep your drinks cool. This is probably the only place in Phuket where you’ll need to wear a jacket.

7. Baba Nest, Panwa

Baba Nest at the secluded Panwa beach on the quiet east coast of Phuket proves that rooftop bars are not only found in Bangkok. Taking advantage of a rocky outcrop overlooking the Andaman Sea, Baba Nest may not have cityscape views, but looking out at the limestone rocks on the horizon is a pretty cool substitute for sleek skyscrapers.

Part of the Sri Panwa resort, this rooftop bar has an exclusive feel to it. Head up here at sunset for some of the best views on the island. Relax with a drink on a floor cushion and take in 180 degrees ocean views beyond the moat-like infinity pool.
